Maintaining these lovely pets require some degree of efforts, which would depend on the breed you select. Poodle requires great level of care and maintenance. Their bushy fur requires grooming and brushing on daily basis to keep them neat and tidy. There are dogs like Siberian Husky, whose hair tend to fall in summer and spring and therefore would not only require constant cleaning of the dog but of your carpets too. It is therefore vital to select a breed that would be easier and convenient for you to maintain and groom.
Another important factor is considering the diet of these dogs. Big dogs obviously have bigger appetites and would require to be fed more amount of food frequently. Similarly smaller dogs would mean less diet requirements. Great Dane is one of those dogs that would consume good amount of food every day. Therefore, when selecting a dog make sure that you are up for the money and amount of time that would be required to feed the dog.
Intelligence is extremely important when buying a pet dog. A smarter animal is much easier to train and may be better with children. The two most intelligent dog breeds are Border Collies and Poodles with each being easy to housebreak and they make great family pets.
Most children love dogs but rarely enjoy walking them. For many children, walking the family pet is a chore and generally, the more energetic a dog is, the more needs to be walked. According to experts pugs, bulldogs and French bulldogs have noticeably lower activity levels than other breeds and are said to be great with children.
